Students are expected to address the initial discussion question by Wednesday of each
week. Participation in the discussion forum requires a minimum of three (3) substantive
postings (this includes your initial post and posting to two peers) on three (3) different
days. Substantive means that you add something new to the discussion. This is also a
time to ask questions or offer information surrounding the topic addressed by your
peers. Personal experience is appropriate for a substantive discussion, however, should
be correlated to the literature.
All discussion boards will be evaluated utilizing rubric criteria inclusive of content,
analysis, collaboration, and writing. If you fail to post an initial discussion or the initial
discussion is late, you will not receive points for content and analysis, you may however
post to your peers for partial credit following the guidelines above.

I have learned that being professional and respectful from the price model of success
will be important when meeting with my proctor. Always be respectful of the proctor time
by showing up early so that we can demonstrate our skills in a timely manner. If a
patient received the wrong medication, I would quickly call the patient and inform them
not to take the medication and let the physician know so that they can order the correct
one. I would also reach out to the pharmacy so that they know that an error was made
and to cancel the prescription.
To remember the different medications in the medical facility I will use flash cards, so I
get familiar with the names and what they are used for. The most important takeaway
that was presented this week is the several types of medications and what they are
used for. This will be extremely helpful especially when doing refills, so we know what
each medication is used for.
What are some examples of solid medication forms?
