Dear Human Resources Manager:
Please accept my application for Patient Financial Services Enterprise A/R Resolution Manager at
Northern Light Health found on the internal career board.
As a current employee in the Patient
Financial Services department, I have developed the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in
this position.
With 16 combined years of revenue cycle experience from three hospital organizations, I have
become proficient in the revenue cycle's working knowledge, from registration to finalized A/R
reconciliation.
In my six years with Northern Light Health, I have received promotions to team
lead and supervisor.
I have supervised over 20 employees whose specialties spanned several
different department areas, from payment variance to cash reconciliation.
I have also received
my revenue cycle certification: Certified Revenue Cycle Professional in March 2019.
I have been on projects for our department, including the implementation of our JP Morgan
Lockboxes.
I provided written and oral presentations to leadership for process improvements and
helped to give analysis to facilitate decisions impacting change in our department.
One decision
is the need to expand the credit balance team from two employees to a ten-person team and
include tracking of the root cause for each credit balance.
With the root cause analysis, we have
been able to implement process improvements to prevent the credit balance reoccurrence.
I also believe that my two years of direct patient care give me a unique ability to understand how
our actions in the revenue cycle impact our patients' care.
Accepting incoming calls from patients
has allowed me to help them understand the hospital's statement or the explanation of benefits
from their insurance company.
I am currently enrolled at the University of Phoenix to complete my bachelor's degree in business
management to increase my professional writing, business analysis, project, and time
management skills.
I look forward to speaking with you further about my experience and pursuit of the position for
Enterprise A/R Resolution Manager.
I am excited about the opportunity to help Northern Light
Health grow in our communities efficiently and effectively.
Sincerely,

The from-to chart below indicates the number of loads moved per 8-hr day (above the slash) and the distances in ft (below the slash) between departments in a particular factory. Fork lift trucks are used to transport the materials. They move at an average speed = 275 ft>min (loaded) and 350 ft/min (empty). Load handling time (loading plus unloading) per delivery is 1.5 min and anticipated traffic factor = 0.9. Availability = 95% and worker efficiency = 110%. Determine the number of trucks required under each of the following assumptions: (a) the trucks never travel empty; and (b) the trucks travel empty a distance equal to their loaded distance.
