Prompt: Explain how you think this course can help you in your future career.
As I am a Food Science major, this course heavily involves many scientific principles that will be important within any of my work in the food science industry, even if I am not directly doing the related work. Food science is a very broad field with many applications, so I have not yet decided what specifically I would like to go into. Overall, this course has given me an introduction to much machinery and how many processes used in food processing methods are utilized, which will give me a higher understanding and better ability to do my job no matter what department I choose to go to, whether it be the far away sensory science or the very integrated process engineering. This summer I am working as a Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory intern at Cargill in Dayton, Ohio for corn milling. In this position, I imagine I will be able to use much of what I've learned about different processes especially when focusing on critical control points. After graduation, I am very interested in working in the fermentation industry which involves many mechanical processes relating to course concepts like mass and energy balance, heat transfer, gasses and vapors, as well as drying.

This is an engineering problem and not a writing assignment. Please Do Not Reject. I had other engineering tutors on bartleby help me with problems similar to this one.
This problem must be presented in a logical order showing the necessary steps used to arrive at an answer. Each homework problem should have the following items unless otherwise stated in the problem:
a. Known: State briefly what is known about the problem.
b. Schematic: Draw a schematic of the physical system or control volume.
c. Assumptions: List all necessary assumptions used to complete the problem.
d. Properties: Identify the source of property values not given to you in the problem. Most sources will be from a table in the textbook (i.e. Table A-4).
e. Find: State what must be found.
f. Analysis: Start your analysis with any necessary equations. Develop your analysis as completely as possible before inserting values and performing the calculations. Draw a box around your answers and include units and follow an…
