Report
The two test that are within the written expression cluster are writing sample, and sentence writing fluency. According to the textbook, it provides a measure of meaningful written expression and automaticity with writing” (Mather, N. and Wendling, B. ,2015). The standard score is based off the scale of 100 being average with a deviation of 15. The expected range is between 85-115 for all clusters. The basic reading, cluster has two subtests, the tests are letter word identification and word attack. This cluster measure the basic reading skills and target instructional deficits. Math Problem Solving is the next listed cluster, and the two tests in this cluster are applied problems and number matrices. These tests will give insight on the student’s ability to process and calculate numbers. Reading comprehension is the next cluster on the testing record. This cluster has passage comprehension and reading recall. It measures the student’s ability to comprehend. Reading fluency is the next cluster. This cluster has oral reading and sentence fluency as subtest. These tests measure the student’s ability to decode and read words, and how many words a student can read per minute. It is a measurement of the student’s ability to read fluently. These are timed test. The last cluster of tests on this testing recording sheet is math calculations, and the two tests in this cluster are calculation and math fluency. These test measure accuracy, automaticity, and computation skills. (Mather, N., and Wendling, B. 2015). When looking at the data presented from this assessment. The student appears to be scoring below average in the areas of written expression, basic reading skills, reading
comprehension and reading fluency. The student shows strength in both math calculations and math problem solving. Reference: Mather N. & Wendling B. J. (2015). Essentials of WJ IV tests of achievement . Wiley.
