Abstract
Society nowadays has innovated, and it has acquired teenagers’ confidence. Too many current trends have evolved in different seasons. Unfortunately, most of these trends go viral so fast with
all other social networks. Parents find it challenging to cope and adapt to all the new gadgets teenagers are upgrading to. Some of the trends are tobacco use, cigarettes, vaping, and e-
cigarettes. These are only a few of them. One that has impacted and struck society is the increase
of e-cigarettes or vaporizers, commonly known as vaping. This has become particularly common
among teenagers and college students. Vaping has an increase in dopamine levels, a result of animal studies. When vaping, the brain reacts to novelty, and this increases hormones. The teenage smartwatch will detect when their child is vaping or using any smoking device. The watch will send a signal to the parents. It could be to their cellphones or computers, whatever the
parent chooses. This paper will focus on the new product and its benefits to parents. This will allow the parent to take the right action at an earlier stage of vaping. This product aims to protect
the child from becoming addicted to vaping and having to face health issues in the future.

Introduction
Technology has become essential in teenagers' lives as technology has evolved. Nowadays, the new trend is wristwatches, which teens are calling smartwatches. In this new trend, teenagers are also adopting e-cigarettes and vaporizers. These two things have become the new norm in teen society. “According to the CDC and data from 2011 and 2012”, the percentage of teenage middle and high school students has doubled (Bayless, 2014). Most advertising is targeting teens. This needs to be addressed and solved.
The teen smartwatch will detect when your child is holding an e-cigarette or vaping device, automatically sending a message to the parent's device. Nowadays, many people are beginning to question this new form of smoking, and the question lies in whether it is indeed safe. As many researchers have been conducted throughout the years, it has been proven that smoking and vaping are not harmless. (
Tribble, E. 2023). Vaping still has nicotine, which means you are inhaling poison and risking a weaker immune system.
Marketing Environment
Regarding the 4 PS of marketing, this will be my strategic planning for the Teen Smartwatch.
Product:
The product is a smartwatch that will have a vaping-detecting sensor. This sensor will alarm the child's parents via smartphone or any smart device of the parent's choice. Also, the parents could link their teen's watch to their device.
Place:
The place where the teen smartwatch will be online. I will also create an account with Amazon so the product can be sold on their website. This will be targeted at a much higher audience. Everyone knows that Amazon allows brands to reach millions of consumers.

Price:
The teen smartwatch will run from $200-$400. This will vary based on the smartwatch's color, size, and style.
Promotion:
The promotions that I will be utilizing are as follows: Facebook, Instagram, and most social media. Since the product will be sold online, social media will be the best advertising method. I will also host a conference in middle school and High school so parents can understand the benefit of detecting at an early stage that their child is vaping.
In this case, the most influential trend in the microenvironment for this company will be
customers. The delivery network will aim to connect with the target customers. The target company will be both the parents and the teens themselves. The company will focus on building a genius acceptance with the customers.
The most influential trend in the macroenvironment for my company will be the economic forces since it relates to customer purchasing power. Since it is a teen watch, parents might consider the eye due to the carelessness of a teenager. The unemployment rate will be 3.9% in 2023 (
Ahmed, H. A., & Nasser, T. 2023). As time has passed, teen smartwatches have increased tremendously.
Buyer Behavior
The purchase process for my company will be B2B. Amazon has allowed the seller to cater to the business's and customers' needs and requirements. Online purchasing provides an exclusive feature that is optimized for Business-to-Business transactions.
The stage of the buying process that will be most critical for the buyer of my product will be the post-purchase evaluation. The company needs to ensure it meets the customer's expectations. This needs to be the focus to satisfy customers with the purchase. The company needs to focus on making the customers happy and willing to recommend the product.
5
The harm this will cause this teenager as time passes is unknown (Narrett, J. A., Khan, W., Funaro, M. C., & Moeller, J. J. 2023). Parents need to be aware if their children are at risk of becoming addicted to this new way of smoking. Vaping contains harmful chemicals. By understanding the need for this product, the focus of advertising the product will be the effect that e-cigarettes and vaping have on teens, especially when kids in middle school are vaping at such an early age
.
Society is facing a huge problem right now, and this product will offer a solution, a concept
that will at least make you aware if your child has been exposed to vaping. When it comes to technology, there will always be room to add and evolve as time goes by. This product aims to prove to the customer that it has a genuine concern. With this, we will gain valuable customers and build a relationship that will lead to long-term relationships.
Insights and Segmentation
Segmentation marketing is used to identify the target customers. The three types of primary search that I will be utilizing are as follows. I would use surveys to learn about customers' preferences, concerns, and interests. This would direct me to what customers want to see from my product. I would do interviews, giving me a deeper understanding of customers' motives, concerns, and wishes. I will also conduct observation studies, which will help me document and monitor customers' behaviors and reactions to my product.
Regarding the ethical part of my research, I will focus on privacy and data protection, Informed Consent, Confidentiality, and Preventing Harm. Any participants need to be fully aware of the study’s goals and for what the data will be used. I will acquire consent from anyone who participated in the studies. Their personal information will be preserved
. The target
6
customers for the teens’ smartwatch are 23-49, male and female, located worldwide, with an income of 45-80k. The focus is to ensure parents feel the product meets their expectations.
The value proposition of my company’s product is convenience. In addition, efficiency, consistency, and integrity. The teen watch must perform at its best because it covers delicate issues.
(ANKRAH, E. A., CIBRIAN, F. L., SILVA, L. M., TAVAKOULNIA, A., BELTRAN, J. A., SCHUCK, S. E. B., LAKES, K. D., & HAYES, G. R. 2023). The Teen Smartwatch's main idea is to detect when the user has been vaping and using e-cigarettes. The hardware and software sensors must be effective.
Product Strategy
As for my course project, brand equity, Teen Smartwatch will focus on the following. First, I want to ensure that teen smartwatches meet customers' expectations. This needs to be the focus to satisfy customers with the purchase. Ensure the customers are happy and willing to recommend the product to others. This will provide great advertisement as well as deliver consumer-focused solutions for decades. Most of the customers' goodwill comes from the positive experiences. I aim to create consistent marketing efforts, positive customer experiences, and the brand's overall reputation. E-cigarette sensors and vaping detectors are a plus to the teen smartwatch industries, but these still need development (
Paynich, V. 2019).
As I view the ethical implications of teen smartwatches, data leakage is something that the
company needs to stay on top of. This is quite common. Privacy is a requirement for this product
since it involves such a sensitive subject. In this case, the watch's data will deal with minors and must be protected at all costs. This will be something on which the manufacturer will have to focus
(
Study Corgi. 2023, November 9).
Pricing Strategy

7
The importance of break-even analysis in launching any new product or service will be the
key to the success of the teen’s smartwatch. A break-even analysis helps you establish the number of units the company must sell to break even and lead to your product's profit. This will help to determine at what point of sale one will have covered all the costs and start to see a profit.
The pricing strategy that will be utilized for teens’ smartwatches is Price skimming, as this marketing approach is perfect for products or services with higher prices (Lamb, Hair, & McDaniel, 2008). The only way this will be effective for teens' smartwatches is because it offers a unique service, which it does not have, and the market does not have anything like this. As the market demand for teens' smartwatches decreases, lower the price to attract other potential customers who are less interested in buying the product. Teen’s smartwatches for $599, which is $249 higher than the original price. This will help me obtain revenue faster while building loyal customers and meeting customers' expectations. Lower the cost in two months and add promotions to attract the other part of the market. Teen’s smartwatch has a technological advance that no other company has introduced.
Distribution Strategy
The best option for distribution channels for teens' smartwatches, I will focus on a
multichannel approach. This will help me expand the brand and reach places much faster. I will
focus on social media and all platforms. Multi-channel will be the best distribution channel for
teens' smartwatches. It offers flexibility and will help me obtain a much larger customer base. I
will create the company website, email, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
I will recommend retailers, such as online retailers and e-commerce marketplaces. The place
where the teen smartwatch will be online. I will also create an account with Amazon so the product
8
can be sold on their website. This will be targeted at a much higher audience. Everyone knows that
Amazon allows brands to reach millions of consumers. I will also create a Facebook and Instagram
account to sell the teen’s smart online.
My goal in the introduction stage will be to create a consistent, loyal, and established brand identity. I will link and connect with partners, like influencers and promoters online, to help me promote my product.
Promotional Strategy
This smartwatch will have the ability to detect if your
child has been exposed to e-cigarettes or any vaping device. This unique feature is something that most parents will consider buying the watch, especially as vaping has become the new trend for teens and is causing so many health issues. The value and uniqueness of this smartwatch are priceless. Having the ability to detect if your
child has been exposed to vaping at an earlier stage can prevent your
child from becoming addicted to vaping and avoid health issues in the future. Many studies have shown that vaping could cause considerable damage to their health, including bronchitis, pneumonia, and gum disease
(
Omar, I., Jayaraman, R., Antony, J., Salah, K., Tortorella, G., Sony, M., & Omar, M. 2022).
After conducting several studies on the best option for IMC, the recommendation to launch the teen’s smartwatch should be Facebook, Instagram, and most social media. No advertising via traditional means? Since the product will be sold online, social media will be the best advertising method. To keep customers aware of the smartwatch features and benefits
. I
will also host a conference in middle and high school so parents can understand the importance of detecting early that their child is vaping. Will the school district administration allow this? Doubtful, as you are a for-profit company, yes? The element to having a successful launch will be proving that the teen’s smartwatch is practical and delivers its expectations (
Hill, R. 2023).
9
Ethical Implications
The future growth potential of the teens' smartwatch will depend on several factors. This will include the target market and resources and the nature of the product
. I
will recommend the wholly-owned subsidiary. This will allow me
complete control, maintain brand consistency, and continue providing the same quality service. Another option is a joint venture with a local partner. Global expansion strategy:
Product:
The teen’s smartwatch needs to adapt to meet local preferences and regulations; however, it should always maintain the brand's core values.
Pricing:
The teen’s smartwatch will adopt a flexible pricing strategy to suit local economic conditions and consumer purchasing power.
Distribution
: Since the original method of the teens' smartwatch will be Amazon and e-
commerce, something to be considered will be franchising. For selling a w
atch?
Promotion
: This will include local advertising and adopting cultural differences and market dynamics.
The brand encompasses ethical sourcing, fair labor practices, and environmentally responsible manufacturing. The company will be committed to transparency and accountability and will continuously improve. The company will commit to ethical practices, ensuring the brand
values are aligned.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the teen’s smartwatch's main idea is to ensure parents are aware when their
children are vaping or using e-cigarettes. The goal is to create and brand the teen’s smartwatch as
the must-have watch not only because of its unique add-on feature. When promoting the brand,

the focus will be ensuring customers are satisfied, and the eye meets their expectations. The goal is to ensure the product stays consistent and loyal to the customers' needs by creating loyal customers.

Hi Denny, Over three previous drafts, I have provided you feedback on each of your DRAFTS so that you might “tweak” the content to reflect that which you would provide a senior management team or,
if you are starting your own company, a bank loan officer, the Small Business Administration, (SBA). or team of investors.
The important thing is to not go into the weeds; rather, you want a crisp executive submission that provides a strategic overview of the bulleted sections on which you focused in each of your three drafts. Be sure to write in THIRD Person and not FIRST
Person (
I, we, our, us, me, my…

or SECOND

. Your target market does not read your marketing brief, so don’t
write it as if they would.
My approach to reading your paper was NOT to over
ly edit it
. With 35 papers to review and 35 PPT presentations to review, these require one hour to do both for each of my adult learners. Thus, the time to provide specific feedback on your writing and correct use of APA7 formatting simply is not there if I am going to submit final course grades on time. Besides you have received plenty of feedback in previous assignments, so your Documentation, Formatting, and Editing
evaluation reflects your capitalization on previous feedback.
What I did… I read your paper non-stop and offered few
edit
s
or written comments. I wanted to see if it resonated with me as a strategic presentation. I paid close attention to how you approached both your Promotional Strategy and Global & Ethical Implications areas.
I would have welcomed greater specificity
in each of the areas.
Your evaluation on your FINAL Draft is based only on your last two sections (Promotional Strategy and Global & Ethical Implications).
