Based on the brand you chose for that assignment, please create a brand perceptual map for this company and the persona it is targeting. A. As we discussed in class, when you create a brand perceptual map, you need to be sure that you are selecting dimensions that... 1. are very important to your target market (i.e., to your persona). 2. reflect positive attributes/characteristics that your brand already possesses and that make it special in the mind of the target market/persona. 3. effectively position your company as unique, different, and/or special versus your competition. 4. are independent (i.e., not highly correlated with one another). List your dimensions here - Vertical dimension: Innovation - Horizontal dimension: Quality B. Now, in the space below, please write a few sentences about your dimensions, explaining why they are an excellent choice for this brand and this persona. I chose innovation as my vertical dimension for many reasons. One reason I chose innovation as a dimension is because innovation is so important to Apple’s target market. Another reason I chose it as a dimension is because innovation is something that makes their company unique or different from their competition. I also chose quality as my horizontal dimension for many different reasons. One reason is because quality is another important factor for Apple’s target market. Another reason is because quality is something Apple focuses on heavy and is another thing they use to differentiate themselves from the competition. C. Next, please create your own brand perceptual map for this brand – persona combination. Make sure that you clearly label your dimensions and make sure that your brand and 6-8 other brands are clearly shown in your perceptual map.
