2 Week 3: IT’S JUST A MATTER OF TIME CASE STUDY IT’S JUST A MATTER OF TIME What did Teresa learn? Teresa learnt quite a number of problems in Vegas company that had brought about the kind of financial pressures that the company was experiencing, she has been going through difficulties in the former company, when Vega approached her for help in managerial sector, she thought that it was the best opportunity for her to put her managerial skills into practice. This was true; however, several challenges came about in the process of her working, the company was experiencing a large problem in managing its financial assets, it was, therefore, heading towards undercapitalization. Teresa was given full responsibility to the company; however, after managing everything to an extent of bringing the company to a positive balance of $ 9,000, the owner began borrowing a huge amount of money that could possibly lead the company to its initial financial crisis. This experience gave Teresa a lesson that, some leaders can contribute to the failure of their own businesses due to their poor leadership skill, despite having managers or workers who have the capability of moving the company to better performances. 2. Other than quitting, what can Teresa do to resolve the problem? What learning and perception factors

The learning and perception factors from the information provided greatly focuses on the good qualities of a leader, she managed to bring the company back on track from the initial devastating performances, however, leaders adopt very many ways of handling pressure and stress in organizations, quitting will not be the best option for her if she truly needed the job to put her managerial skills in practice, she would rather look for another way of handling Mr. Vegas opinion in order to keep the company operating positively. The perception factor in this context includes sensing various aspects of an individual, task and coming up with the impression based on the selected inputs. 3 . 4 Week 3: IT’S JUST A MATTER OF TIME CASE STUDY If I were an outside consultant to the firm, I would recommend solutions that Teresa, this is because Teresa is working to her best to assist the organization to improve its financial performances as a manager, since Vega lacks the necessary managerial skills[ CITATION MAH14 \l 1033 ] . He does not see the need of having some amount of cash in bank because according to him money should be used and not stored in the Bank, this is a sign of an individual with poor managerial skills. Possible recommendations to Vega To support and appreciate Teresa’s efforts, he should follow her advice concerning the minimal balances for the business. Vega should maintain Teresa in his business because she has helped him bring back the business from the former worse performances. Vega should learn to give very important ideas the priority, spending should go hand n hand with the company financial capacity in terms of current and future performances.
