Discussion week 7.5 Hello All, I do have experience in work place bullying both with being bullied and witnessing the bullying. In the instance I was bullied the employer did not take my complaints seriously and I ended up going to another company for employment and soon after the bully was fired due to failing a drug test and work place violence. In the case that I witnessed the bullying the direct management team intervened and started to watch how the bully interacted with others on the team and issues a PIP to help adjust behaviors at work. I always recommend to fall on the safe side and mediate both parties and try to come to a resolution. Also, maintaining strict zero tolerance corporate policies would help maintain a standard in which employees are expected to act. Also, always check emails and any kind of instant messaging that the company offers between employees to see if behavior can be traced and a paper trail can follow.
