Week 4 Discussion Sof Skills In my 45+ years of being in the working field, | have probably employed a number of soft skills. | have had the privilege of managing people, coupled with teamwork, handling difficult people, either employees or customers, and problem-solving. | would say that the soft skill that | need to improve upon most would be critical thinking. Critical thinking is when you think about your own thinking, try to form reasonable beliefs and make reasonable decisions based on the evidence you have available. There are many development opportunities to help to skill of critical thinking. One way would be to expand my career-specific and technical skills in my chosen career path of accounting, as well as taking additional courses in accounting, and attending conferences, workshops, and seminars. Developing critical thinking skills can help with identifying problems analyzing them and determining room for development. It can lead to solution development, effective communication, adaptability, and better decision-making. When it comes to staying up to date on changes in the accounting industry, there are professional associations, conferences, industry newsletters, and subscriptions to industry services that can help me stay current with accounting rules.
