In event management process, the final step after the event is carrying out a follow-up meeting to discuss the overall ROI, get the sponsors and attendee feedback, and make the crucial readjustments to the overarching event strategy.(N.D., 2022). Holding the post event meetings can create a positive vibe for the ones that helped set up and plan the event. Showing that you are appreciative of all the hard work that went into making the event a success. If you do not show your appreciation and after the event just move on like nothing happened, when planning the next event, the team may not try as hard or care as much feeling like their hard work isn’t appreciated. The follow up meetings are not just to show your appreciation, but a time for you and the team to see if individuals’ goals had been met along the way and if not how you and the team can improve to meet them next time. You may also discuss your ROI (return on investment) to discuss with the team if these luncheons are worth the time and expense of planning. Data that can be collected at these post event meetings is important as well. This data can assist event planners to discover various ways that they can further improve their events, it is important that they collect new data from attendees, vendors and their teams while it’s fresh in their minds (N.D., 2022).
