Introduction • Speaker notes: As we all know, the success of any project depends on effective project management. PMI KICKOFF™ is a free project management course designed to help you understand the basics of project management and apply them to your projects. Today, we will be discussing the details of our new project and how we will approach it. Slide 2: Purpose of Presentation Speaker Notes: - The purpose of this presentation is to introduce the team to the project and gain their buy in. - We want to ensure that everyone understands the project's purpose, approach, timeline, and scope. - This will help us work together effectively towards a successful project completion. Slide 3: Executive Champions Speaker Notes: - This project has received approval from the executive champions in our company. - They see the value and impact it will have on our organization. - Their support and trust in us is vital to the success of this project. Slide 4: Project Overview Speaker Notes: - The project we will be working on is [Project Name]. - The main goal of this project is to [Project Goal or Objective]. - It is an enterprise wide project that will impact different departments in our company. Slide 5: Kickoff™ Resource Speaker Notes: - To kick off this project, we will be using PMI KICKOFF™ - a free project management course. - This course will make learning the basics of project management easy for all team members.

- It will provide us with a common understanding and language for managing this project. Slide 6: Waterfall vs Agile Approach Speaker Notes: - When it comes to project management, there are various approaches. - For this project, we have chosen a combination of waterfall and agile approach. - Waterfall will be used for the initial stages of the project, while agile will be used for the later stages. Slide 7: Waterfall Approach Speaker Notes: - The waterfall approach is a linear, sequential project management methodology. - It consists of well-defined steps and phases, such as initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closure. - In this approach, each stage must be completed before moving to the next one. Slide 8: Agile Approach Speaker Notes: - The agile approach is an iterative, collaborative project management methodology. - It involves breaking the project into smaller tasks or iterations that will be completed in short time frames. - This allows for flexibility and adaptability as the project progresses. Slide 9: Timeline Speaker Notes: - We have set a timeline for this project, which has been approved by the executive champions. - It includes a start and end date, as well as key milestones and deliverables.

- Each team member will have a clear understanding of their role and responsibilities within this timeline. Slide 10: Scope Speaker Notes: - The scope of this project includes the deliverables and requirements that need to be completed for the project. - It is important for all team members to have a clear understanding of the project scope to avoid any scope creep. - Any changes to the scope will be discussed and approved by the project team. Slide 11: Teamwork Speaker Notes: - As we work together on this project, teamwork will be crucial. - As the project manager, I will be leading the team and ensuring everyone is working towards our common goal. - Effective communication, collaboration, and accountability will be key to our success. Slide 12: Summary Speaker Notes: - In summary, this project has been approved by the executive champions and will have a significant impact on our organization. - We will be using PMI KICKOFF™ to kick off this project and a combination of waterfall and agile approach. - The timeline and scope have been defined and it is important for everyone to work together as a team to achieve our goal. - Thank you for your time and I look forward to working with all of you on this project.
