Balancing work quality with timeliness can be a challenging task for any project manager. Discuss two strategies or resources project managers can use to assist with this task. In replies to peers, provide examples of situations where the specific strategies or resources could best be applied. Hello professor and class, Timeliness is one of the most important qualities to have as a project manager. When the time goal is not met for a project it makes the customer and stakeholders wait for the deliverable longer than anticipated and can cause the entire project to fail. Part of project management includes having regular meetings with team members, stakeholders and investors, and customers while working on several tasks or iterations. To assist with the challenge of time management the two strategies that I have chosen are listed below. 1. Planning the entire day ahead of time helps a project manager know what they intend to accomplish and allows them to focus on only the most urgent tasks and iterations. The project manager can also rank the tasks from low to high priority so crossing them off once completed feels like an accomplishment. 2. Giving yourself a few minute buffer between iterations is very important. Burnout can occur from overworking causing even the easiest tasks to become difficult. Taking even a 5-minute break helps the project manager and team catch their breath, grab a snack or drink and prepare for the next task. References Cope, S.
