The behavioral approach to management and leadership is suitable in many situations because it emphasizes the importance of understanding human behavior and motivation in achieving organizational goals. This approach recognizes that employees are not just cogs in a machine, but individuals with unique needs, preferences, and abilities (Smith, 2019). d) Describe at least three strategies you will use to improve the areas of your leadership style you have identified I. Develop a coaching and mentoring program: A coaching and mentoring program can help managers to develop the skills and competencies needed to be effective behavioral leaders (Smith, 2019). II. Implement a performance management system: A performance management system can help managers to set clear expectations, provide feedback, and measure progress toward organizational goals. III. Encourage employee participation and involvement: Employee participation and involvement can help managers to tap into the knowledge, skills, and creativity of their team members. By soliciting feedback, ideas, and suggestions from employees, managers can create a more inclusive and collaborative work environment (Smith, 2019).
