1. What is your topic The impact of transformational leadership on the organizational performance of large sized pharmaceutical companies in Egypt. 2. Why is your topic important Leadership has been the focus of many successful, and yet growing organizations. As leadership style or leadership aspects and roles are the very core of any business aiming for sustainable success , and competitive existence in the current challenging economical, political and social uncertainties. during these recent economical and social fluctuations and uncertainties, it becomes a must for any organization that either wants to survive or aiming for excellence to identify the optimum leadership style that deliver the most efficient and desirable outcomes, that would lead the organization toward its objectives. 3. What is your research questions What are the the leadership styles?. What is the difference between transactional and transformational leadership?. What is the relation between transformational leadership and job satisfaction for employees?. Do employees feel empowered under transformational leadership?. What is the relation between job satisfaction and organizational performance?. Does transformational leadership contribute positively to the organizational culture?. 4. What is your problem definition Organizations in current time are deeply impacted more than ever with economic and financial uncertainties, that subject the organizational strategic objectives in jeopardy. It is necessary for the organization to identify what is the leadership style that could lead their financial and
intellectual resources towards excellence, and identify what are the effects and direction of leadership on the organizational performance. 5. What are your variables and identify each of them Independent variable – transformational leadership. Dependent variable – organizational performance. Mediators variable – employees job satisfaction. Moderators variable : level of employees empowerment. Level of job innovation. Level of inclusion. Rewarding system. Level of turnover. Organizational culture. 6. What are your hypotheses There is a positive relation between transformational leadership and employees job satisfaction. (H1) There is a positive relation between employees job satisfaction and overall organizational performance. (H2) Transformational leadership has a positive impact on organizational culture.
