responding with unwavering commitment to emergencies both domestic and international. With
a robust network of volunteers and contributors, the American Red Cross has played a pivotal
role in shaping the landscape of humanitarian aid.
In the face of a dynamically changing world, this case study seeks to examine the
complexities of the American Red Cross. “It is difficult to define what nonprofit organizations
are, what they do, and how they do it” (Renz, 2016, p. 3). Beyond the recognizable emblem and
the immediate responses to crises, we aim to unravel the layers that constitute the organization's

the nation and around the world. This vision encompasses prepared communities, universal
access to safe blood and blood products, unwavering support for members of the armed services
and their families, and the presence of trained individuals ready to use their Red Cross skills in
