The employability skills that employers value are based on how well you get along with your teammates and customers, as well as your ability to handle your job performance and career success efficiently. Every employee should develop his or her professional skills, since it helps them to become successful in the workplace. In this assignment, employees at a company are challenged to determine how they can achieve all of their goals with the amount of responsibility and productivity they have. A key objective of the program is to assist people in honing the interpersonal skills that will enable them to take on greater responsibility at work and integrate better with their employers. Specifically, this report evaluates my ability to describe the skills I need at the start of my career and those that I will need in order to develop as a global professional. It also lists the skills I need to acquire in order to succeed at work. TASK 1: Describe professional skills for employability Good Communication Skills A healthy workplace thrives on communication because it improves employee morale, engagement, productivity, and satisfaction. Team collaboration and cooperation can also be improved through communication. Individuals, teams, and organizations achieve better results when they communicate effectively in the workplace[ CITATION Mah15 \l 16393 ]. Communicating effectively at work requires the following skills: Listening skills: For organizations to be more effective, it is crucial that everyone listens to one another. In addition, they should acknowledge what is being said, listen to each other, and understand each other's point of view.
Patience: You can calmly communicate your feelings in a professional workplace with just a little bit of patience. In order to be successful at work, it is important to have a good sense of patience in order to listen to other people's opinions Learning Ability The organization team is better able to capitalize on every opportunity available to them through learning agility. Being receptive to learning requires a constant desire to learn new things and the ability to expand one's horizons and expertise. It helps them prepare for the volatile, uncertain, and unpredictable business environment of today. A more structured approach, which includes goal-setting, taking action, and assessing progress, can also be described as "personal development." Modern life demands that we constantly learn new skills. A flexible employee is one who is open to changing and sees the benefits of a new job outweigh the risks. Resilience, adaptability, and flexibility are also important aspects of self-regulation and emotional intelligence. It is important to possess leadership skills if an organization is to be effective at work and achieve its goals. Developing these skills will enable you to motivate your team members to work together in achieving a shared goal by bringing out their best abilities. Leaders who are organized keep their teams focused and on track so delays are avoided. Negotiation skills, influence, and the ability to persuade others are valuable abilities for any company[ CITATION Fat201 \l 16393 ]. Reliability/dependability. Integrity and dependability are based on delivering on your promises. This, however, implies taking stock of the situation and determining what needs to be done, along with taking the appropriate action. The first step to keeping your word is to be well-organized and efficient with your time. It is crucial to plan your work in advance in order to be able to complete tasks on time and to the necessary standard. Further, you need to know what needs to be done first so that forgetting something won't be a problem. A self-controlled and reliable individual monitors his or her behavior and adheres to his or her moral standards. It is not necessary for them to be reminded of due dates in order to meet them consistently. Despite your trustworthiness, you don't need to accomplish everything all by yourself. Accepting defeat and asking for assistance may be the only way to finish a task on time. TASK 2: Produce a professional CV TASK 3 – Discuss the skills you need to develop Delegation Skills: When you try to handle everything yourself, you can't be a single employee. The assignment of work to team members requires you to divide it among them. Although some managers mistake delegation with dumping, it refers to a much broader concept than merely delegating responsibilities. Accounting tasks should be distributed efficiently based on the skill sets of your accountants. When you know your employees' strengths, you can put them in the most effective positions. As part of the delegation, you will also have to teach the recipient and be available for questions[ CITATION Xiy17 \l 16393 ]. Leadership Skills : It is also crucial for me to develop my leadership skills for to be successful at work. In addition to transforming organizations, enhancing value creation, creating efficiencies,
and engaging their employees to achieve better results, successful leaders are able to deliver better results. Management skills training can help managers create a vision for their teams and motivate them to achieve it by inspiring them to do the same. In addition, a good leader should motivate, inspire, and develop those who report to them, while making sure that their team's goals are aligned with the organization's overall objectives. Problem solving skills : Developing problem solving skills will also help me to demonstrate to them that I have other competencies such as logic, creativity, resilience, imagination, lateral thinking and determination. The ability to solve problems is often associated with those in senior positions. Due to their responsibilities and authority, they can address any issues that may arise. Doubts about your ability to overcome challenges may prevent your boss from trusting you with more responsibility or promoting you to management[ CITATION Ili22 \l 16393 ]. Technical skills: Managers who wish to comprehend the work they supervise need to keep up with developments in employing practice. They will be able to coordinate teams, assess employee performance, and implement management practices with greater effectiveness. In addition to being more efficient, technical skills make for more confident, valuable employees for employers. My self-confidence will also increase when applying to jobs in certain fields as you acquire technical skills[ CITATION Syl08 \l 16393 ]. Organizing Skills : Additionally, I need to enhance my organizational skills that have made me successful. Organizational skills help you focus your time, effort, and resources on the most important projects. Having organizational skills is also important to helping all stakeholders meet their shared goals. This will prevent your team members from being held back from progressing on their deliverables. Likewise, organizing my digital and physical spaces, managing, prioritizing, and planning can come in handy. Workplace results are optimized by organizational skills. As a result, I am able to perform my job to the best of my ability Business ethics: It is through an understanding of business ethics that I can gain knowledge about the rules and regulations of business to develop myself as a professional. Furthermore, business ethics contribute to enhancing law enforcement by defining acceptable behavior that is not strictly controlled by the government. Business ethics are established by corporations for the purpose of promoting integrity among their employees and gaining trust from key stakeholders, such as investors and consumers. It is most important task for organizations to run the common
ethics programs, but it may be different from company to company. Also, ethics guides me in telling the truth, keeping my promises, and helping others. Ethics guide our daily decisions, helping us steer clear of unjust outcomes and ensuring that positive impacts are created. Consistency: Staff members who work for arbitrary managers must always learn to please them. It's crucial to maintain cohesion and uniformity in your leadership, as employees will quit if they feel untrustworthy. It is easier for employees to hide their mistakes if they aren't confident they will receive a consistent response to a problem from their manager. The development of clear, simple, and transparent communication norms is essential for maintaining open channels with Staff[ CITATION Ant08 \l 16393 ]. Conclusion Regardless of type of industry, professional skills help anyone to succeed in the workplace. You can advance in your profession even further when you can demonstrate maturity and dedication to your job, in addition to your specialized knowledge. Generally, the report provided me with professional skills that I can use in my professional career. Professional success is greatly affected by these abilities, and they are essential to building better relationships with colleagues. My project report also shows how to highlight soft skills that are in demand in the workplace. For professional success, it is crucial to have a set of personal skills, sometimes referred to as 'soft' or 'interpersonal' abilities. For anyone to succeed in any situation involving collaboration with co-workers or negotiation with stakeholders, you will need communication skills, confidence, and disinterest. All of the skills discussed in the report will help me succeed in my career, regardless of my industry. Knowing the specifics of the job is important, but showing maturity and dedication can help me progress even further in your profession. So, throughout this assessment, I will demonstrate my ability to describe the skills that I will need to start my career, to create documentation to promote my candidacy, and to plan for the skills I will need to become a global professional in the future.
