Final Reflective Paper
Answer 1
a.
Firstly, I felt a little worried about choosing a good topic for my Mini Training Lesson. But after doing a little research, I found an interesting topic, i.e. the power of yoga for stress management. I felt very interested in developing a lesson plan on my selected topic. I want to learn about effective yoga positions for stress management. With the help of handbook material, I easily developed it. It was also a new thing to present a lesson to my classmate on this topic that I enjoyed. b.
There was a lot of interesting part of the training development project. Starting from finding any interesting topic to present to own classmates was a new and interesting journey. One of the most interesting things regarding this project was to present a mini-lesson on my own selected topic to others. It enhanced my knowledge regarding the topic and improved my other soft skills like communications, presentations, confidence, etc. I faced fewer challenges in this project. During the starting phase, where I had to select a topic, I could not choose a topic. But then I thought about myself and my problems. Then I was able to choose the topic. c.
This Training Delivery Project taught me several things regarding organisational training and development (T&D). This project showed me that I could learn new skills, improve my existing ones, perform better, be more productive, and be a better leader by working on this project. It also taught me that, because a company is the aggregate of its accomplishments, firms should do all possible to guarantee that workers perform at their best. This project experience will help me in my future career
development to share my thoughts and ideas with others in an effective manner. Answer 2
a.
My opinion regarding the “organisational training” and development completely changed throughout this course. Before this course, I did not know the importance of this training and development. I never thought it helpful for employees. Before this course, I assumed these training and development programs were just for companies. But, now I understand its importance for employees. This course changed my belief that employees should attend these training to enhance their skills, improve their knowledge, and keep up to date with recent technologies. b.
There were several important and interesting topics that I found during this course. But, one of the most interesting topic concepts for me was leadership development. It was because this concept is very useful for my career development. This concept will also help me to develop my leadership development plan. c.
The Covid-19 pandemic is changing the thinking about T&D. The outbreak of COVID-19 has caused HR professionals to reexamine how they engage with their workers. As a consequence of the pandemic, businesses have been forced to rethink their responses to various workplace issues[ CITATION Sam203 \l 16393 ]. Improvements in workplace learning are one of these demands, and organisations must address them if they hope to retain the momentum that existed before the outbreak. The epidemic has raised the need for online course resources, proving to be an excellent supplement to virtual learning. The need for in-person training will never go away completely. On the other hand, virtual learning must be viewed as the way of
the future.
Answer 3
a.
I think leaders are made, not born. I assume 30% of leaders are born while the rest 70% are made. Effective leaders gain knowledge via trial and error as well as personal
experience. Leaders are formed when placed in difficult situations, study and learn
practice, and seek guidance. Leadership is more of a “catch” than a “learnable” skill. Leaders, academics, instructors, mentors, and supervisors all have a role in development. The finest leadership teachers can guide a developing leader through the
critical “moves” that must be made in a particular set of circumstances. Yes, I think leadership skills can be developed. Like all other talents, leadership can only be developed in such a way that we are capable of doing so. The second half of the “no” is ingrained in our personality. We have formed personal ideals, ethics, and character qualities by the time we reach adolescence. Some of these characteristics may have been impacted by genetics[ CITATION Hrd191 \l 1033 ].
Developing exceptional leadership skills necessitates practical experience that allows leaders to hone their leadership talents and apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to the business. If I
design my leadership development plan, I will motivate, give feedback, communicate effectively, and have emotional intelligence, like leadership skills. b.
I have a lot of experience in different learning environments. I learned much of interesting things regarding organisational training and development. Like, I learned that it allows people to learn new skills and expand their capacities, increasing their adaptability and growing in their employment. Another important thing that I learned is that it is helpful to retain employees. Training and development have become so ingrained in firms that they are frequently utilised as a recruiting tool. Offering professional development opportunities makes employees feel valued and committed to the organisation, resulting in higher employee retention and a 59 per cent reduced staff turnover rate[ CITATION Ott22 \l 1033 ]. I learned that training and development help me improve my skills and abilities that help me grow in the competitive job environment. I think becoming a leader motivates me a lot to learn more. This self-awareness can help me achieve my career goals because it pushes me

to take a hard look at myself. It’s instructive to examine my strengths, shortcomings, triumphs, and failures. It can assist me in figuring out what succeeds and what doesn’t. Then I’ll be able to go on with a new outlook and goals.
