Exercise 15.1
Configuring NTFS Permissions Overview
To enable users to access the files on a Windows 8 computer, they must
have the appropriate NTFS permissions. In this exercise, you will configure the permissions to enable the Student user to access a shared folder.
Mindset
Users need NTFS permissions to access files on an NTFS disk, whether they are sitting at the console or accessing the disk over the network.
