Work Reflections Project Selection Final Project for N320: Homework #2 Final Project for N322: Homework #1 Final Project for N423: Final Project Reflection Components Challenges Faced Final Project for N320: Homework #2 The main challenge that I encountered during this project was trying to get it to look as close as possible to the website that I was trying to remake. Some of the aspects of this website were tricky to make one to one, such as the placement of certain textboxes. Navigating the website through using the hash was also a challenge because it was something new that I had never done before in a project. The main solution that I used to get the website to look as close to the original one was constantly comparing them to make sure that they almost looked one to one. I had to keep pulling up the main site and then the project to make sure that they looked as close as possible to each other. And for navigating with the hash, I just referenced the instruction videos that told us how to do this. The software that was used for this project was Visual Studio Code, and it specifically used HTML, CSS, and React. The main lesson that I learned from this project was how to make a website as close as possible to an existing one. Also, I learned how to use the hash to navigate a website. These experiences may be beneficial because I can use these skills to make a professional website for a client.
Final Project for N322: Homework #1 The main challenge that I encountered while doing this project was getting the data from the public API to show correctly on the web page. For this project, we had to get data from a public API to show on our page, and that took a while to figure out. When I first got it, the pictures were way too large. But after a while I got it figured out. The main solution that I used to solve this issue were the videos that were posted for this project. I just went to them and watched the professor do them step by step to see how to make the images appear on the web page. For making the images not massive though, I went onto the internet and looked up how to fix that issue. The main software that was used during this project was once again Visual Studio Code, and we used HTML, CSS, and React to make this project. The main lesson that I learned from this project was how to use a public API to take data and apply it to a website. These experiences may be beneficial to a future employer because I can take data from an APU if needed and apply it to a website. Final Project for N423: Final Project The main challenge that I encountered while doing this project was remembering how to do everything that we did in the previous projects for this bootcamp. One of the key things that I struggled with remembering was how to save an image on a web page by just selecting a button. After some trial and error, I ended up figuring this out but it did take a while. Making the page look professional was also sort of a struggle because there were so many aspects to it. The main solution that I used to solve this issue was that I went back to all the previous projects and looked over them to see how to do some of the stuff that I forgot how to do. After looking over these projects, I remembered how to do some of the things that I was struggling with. The main software that was used during this project was once again Visual Studio Code, and we used HTML, CSS, and React to make this project. The main lesson that I learned from this project was that going back to previous projects is important to do when you may be struggling. When I went back, I remembered some important things that I did for past projects that I could apply to this project. These experiences may be beneficial to a future employer because I can always go back to previous projects that I have made for a client and build off of them.
Significance in Professional Development Of the three projects that I have chosen, the broader significance of them all is that they all have to do with website development and that they have all helped me with getting better at it. Before I did this bootcamp, I wasn’t really all that confident with website development. I knew it was something that I wanted to do though, so I am glad the bootcamp helped me improve. These projects have helped shape my creativity in the tech industry by providing me with more knowledge on how to do cool things like using public APIs and navigating websites through hashes.
