Now you know a enough about Project Management, how do you implement monitoring and controlling while managing a project? Project monitoring and control processes are key factors to making sure a project is completed within the deadline and the client is satisfied with the outcome. Track Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) - Make sure timelines for project deliverables, budgets, and quality are being kept up to date or are on track. Monitor Deadlines and have Quality Checks - Have check points throughout the project to make sure deadlines and quality are being followed. Have a plan to fix, speed the process up, or amend the project plan if not up to specifications documented. Establish the Project Scope - Verify and document the project scope so that all parties agree. Change requests may be considered but know when to say no. Strong Teamwork - Clear communication, defined roles and expectations, and adequate time to finish deliverables will help prevent burnout, errors, or falling behind on deadlines. Risk Consideration - Consider the risk of taking on a project. Assess the risk of individual tasks on the project too. Find ways to mitigate risk and negative impacts on the current and future similar projects. Keep Project Templates on hand - Having templates of projects can be helpful as reference when starting a similar project
