Pretest/Posttest Chart
Directions:
On the chart below, you will complete the first three columns (Literacy Domain/Assessment,
Pretest Score(s), and Comments/Analysis) and copy this chart into Section 2 of your case study report
when you submit the draft of Sections 1-3 at the end of Module 2. You will complete the last two
columns for the Recommendations (Section 5) section you will submit later in the course. In
the Comments/Analysis column, provide a brief analysis of the pretest results. You will elaborate upon
these comments in the Literacy Biography and Intervention Plan sections of the report. You may use any
reputable formal and informal assessment instruments, including any of the many listed in the
appendixes of the textbook, for any of the six literacy domains. You may add additional rows to this chart
if you would like to assess your student in other domains (e.g., motivation), but this is not required.
