In your opinion, should decisions be made based upon intuition and experience or based purely on data? In your response, consider how data and analytics are being used to improve the criminal justice system. In addition, how is data used to predict interventions that may be needed? Hi Class, After watching Anne Milgram’s, Why Smart Statics Are the Key to Fighting Crime, ted talk, I agree that decisions should be made based upon both intuition/experience and data. I think having the resources to look at the crime that was committed, as well as the risk assessment and likelihood that the offender would reoffend is helpful because it helps judges and jury look at the crime, objectively. I do recognize that each crime is different and that is why I believe that it should be used in addition to using intuition and experience. Thank you, Aria
