Group #5 Module 10
How is the proliferation of mobile devices that are locally powerful, use apps instead of full-
fledged applications, and rely on wireless network connectivity changing system
architecture design considerations?
The rise of mobile devices that rely on wireless network connectivity and employ apps instead of
full-fledged applications is affecting system architectural design in a variety of ways. People who
utilize mobile devices outnumber those who use desktop computers. Mobile apps provide
superior personalization, the capacity to send notifications, the ability to work offline, and can
work faster than websites (Mobile App or Website? 10 Reasons Why Apps Are Better, 2022).
Because of the system architecture's BYOD nature, the apps that provide functionality are
frequently under the control of the end-user rather than the IT administrator. Instead of a central
source infecting or compromising users' equipment, security concerns may shift to protecting
critical infrastructure from infection by mobile devices. Apps, as opposed to full-fledged apps,
operate in real-time, which improves safety, consistency, trustworthiness, and ease. For
dependability, mobile devices typically include built-in safety features with the apps. The current
issue is to make mobile devices as powerful as desktop systems in terms of applications and
performance.
E-commerce has seen explosive growth in recent years. What are the most important
reasons for this trend? Will it continue? Why or why not?
E-commerce has become more popular in recent years for a variety of reasons. E-commerce is
divided into three categories: business-to-business (B2B), business-to-consumer (B2C), and
consumer-to-consumer (C2C). E-commerce is always evolving as it expands. Keeping up with
innovations will ensure that e-commerce is always ready to respond to ever-changing strategies.
As the economy shifts, e-commerce must shift as well, whether it be delivering products,
modifications to mobile devices, and competitive business hours that might run 24 hours a day or
simply newly emerging technology. Despite their similarities, the B2C and B2B sectors differ
significantly. B2C marketing necessitates strong types of marketing that can captivate clients and
influence their purchasing patterns and choices. Some consumers have embraced internet
purchases, while others have been wary for a variety of reasons, including security and privacy
concerns. Organizations are constantly seeking methods to cut expenses, automate procedures,
and improve overall quality. Many firms have turned to B2B agreements and are active in supply
chain management systems as both providers and business customers to achieve these goals. This
trend is likely to continue due to constantly changing economic situations, increased demand,
and the need for everything to be more efficient and quicker. As a result of COVID shutdowns
and job losses, an increasing number of people have started small enterprises online. We also
have a greater proportion of people working from home. The younger generation loves to do
everything online! It simply appears to be less of a nuisance to accomplish things from the
comfort of our own homes.
