Current trends in our industry
Hello, Ms. Smith.
You asked me to conduct research on the current (and emerging) trends in our industry.
I have completed that work and can report that the top three Computer Science and
Cybersecurity are Internet of things evolving, Teleworking cybersecurity risks, and
Mobile security.
Remote employment has become increasingly popular as a result of the Covid 19
Pandemic, which has increased security issues. Working from home, for example, is
less secure than working in an office with more secure firewalls, IT teams, and routers.
As a result, businesses will have to discover and address new security flaws, as well as
establish security controls. Techniques and security measures will need to be put in
place to secure sensitive information as we move on with the new "normal."
Second, the
Internet of Things is increasing the number of cybercrime opportunities. Smart watches,
fitness trackers, and devices like Google Home are all examples of the Internet of
Things. Because laptops and smartphones have less processing and storage capacity
than laptops and smartphones, the trend toward remote working is contributing to
pushing this increase. Furthermore, these devices alter the dynamics and scale of the
environment, allowing malevolent actors to get access to possible entry points. Finally,
one of the hottest topics is mobile security. Due to the capability of remote employees to
switch between a variety of mobile devices, the use of public Wi-Fi, and remote
collaboration capabilities, mobile risks continue to emerge. This is a broad subject that
includes network security, cloud security, and a network of networks (Internet of Things).
These security flaws will need to be addressed as they surface.
To conclude, the most important thing to remember is that cyber security is a fast-paced
industry, and as new security vulnerabilities emerge, they must be addressed.
Furthermore, because hackers and security providers are vying to outsmart one
another, it's vital to come up with new approaches to resist the recognized patterns.
I have included my references below and if I can answer any questions, I will be happy
to do so.
