Week 2 Discussion General Client Questions
Describe how one of the general client questions discussed in the lecture would:
Provide insight into the client.
I believe that the general question of “Tell me more about your case.” would provide me with more insight into the client because it would allow me to get more details about why my potential client is seeking legal assistance and what actions our firm may be required to take when taking on their case. It can also help me understand what information they will be more upfront about and what information needs further inquisition.
Assist you in understanding exactly what the client wants in their outcome. I believe that the general question of “What is your desired outcome?" can assist me in understanding exactly what the client wants in their outcome by helping me to understand what they want to get at the end of their case. It will also help to determine the best approach to take to
handle their case efficiently. It will also help to form a plan of action for collecting and documenting information related to the facts of the case so that we can determine if our legal services can help the client reach their desired outcome.

Build on what the client stated in their answer
OR Assist the client in understanding how a good outcome in their case might look.
I chose to provide a follow-up question that would build on what the client stated in their answer to the general question “Tell me more about your case.”
"Can you provide me with any documentation such as witness statements or any other proof that will help me build your case to the best of my ability?"
I believe this would help show the client that I will thoroughly investigate their claim so that I can efficiently build a case that will benefit them the most.
