Paper 3: State how process & outcome evaluation will be conducted, who will review and ultimately responsible.
When it comes to evaluating the process and outcomes of our program, it would be important for us to have a clear plan in place. The first step would be assessing how well our program is being implemented and whether it is following our procedures. For Process This can include us monitoring activity like life skills training and housing options, collecting data on the number of young adults served and the types of services being provided and the satisfaction of the program participants. This could also look like evaluating reliability. For outcome we will measure the impact of the program on the young adults who age out of foster care by tracking outcomes such as educational attainment, employment status, housing and well-being, We would do this by implementing interviews about a year after leaving our program or doing a yearly survey. To review the finding it will be the program staff who is responsible for conducting these evaluations and using the findings to ensure a comprehensive review and aid in using the findings to improve the program’s effectiveness and make decisions.
Paper 4: Address the opportunities lost or cost to the community/society if program is not funded.
When it comes to this nonprofit organization that was created to assist young adults who age out of foster care, the impact of it not being funded would be very significant. Without the proper funding these young adults may not have the access to the necessary resources and support that they need in order to successfully navigate and adjust to adulthood especially after being under the care of the state for such an amount of time. This would result in increased rates of homelessness, unemployment and lack of educational opportunities for this population as well. Without funding the essential programs and services that we offer may not operate effectively or expand to other parts of
the united states that we would hope to reach. This means that individuals that would benefit from these programs may not receive the support that they need.
