NTRODUCTION
Hello welcome to my Lab 2 report which goes over the process of virtualization and set up of a virtual machine. In this lab we downloaded VirtualBox and finish by configuring Ubuntu ISO. Then verifying bidirectional access between the host machine and the virtual machine. B

IRTUALIZATION
CHECK
In this breakpoint we check to see if my machine can do Virtualization. First, I check my system BISO by going under CPU settings and turned the SVM (which the side panel stated it was the virtualization setting). I was then able to verify it was turned on I was able to check by looking at the CPU setting in task manager, which Figure 1 shows that it is turned on.

NSTALLATION
In this breakpoint I go over the process of installing the virtual machine program and the ISO that will be used on the VM. The VM program we used VirtualBox shown in Figure 2 and installed the Windows version of the program. In Figure 3 it shows the ISO that will be used for the rest of the class known as Ubuntu. And finally in Figure 4 shows confirmation of downloading the aforementioned programs.

ONFIGURATION
In this Breakpoint we take a look at the process of the configuration of the VM. We started by creating a VM and selecting the ISO file as shown in Figure 5. Finally finish the set up with the system parameters shown in Figure 6. Then finally verifying it in the VM Figure 7 that the settings were what was set during set up. The installation process and set up of the VM was a very straightforward process but the display view was not optimal.

In this breakpoint we make changes to the display settings to make the VM more comfortable. First I started by turning Ubuntu off shown in Figure 8, so the changes will be able to take place. Then proceeded to change the display setting in the VM display setting, shown in Figure 9. What I was surprised by in this was that I could tell the VM that there were extra monitors if I wanted to run the VM
that way. I changed the Video Memory capacity up to 128 MB and turned on the 3D acceleration but also make the scale to 200% for comfortability for myself.

IDIRECTIONALITY
In breakpoint 5 we will be setting up the VM so it can share its clipboard with the host computer. We do this by going to the devices tab and going to the shared clipboard line setting it to bidirectional, as shown in Figure 10. Then I went to the UTSA website to copy some text to put into notepad to check the
bidirectionality as shown in Figure 11.

C
ONCLUSION
This was a very interesting lab to be do. I found the process of setting up the VM very more straightforward than I had expected. As far as I can tell know how to properly set up a VM will be an important skill to use in the future as a Cyber security specialist in the future R
