Hello Andrea,
Your account of an Anytown tabletop was full of great information. You fully described
the best way to have the first responders come together and participate in an exercise that will
make the town safer. They will be able to see the best way to update the plan that is in place.
They would be able to see the problems if a disaster happened. Keeping up with changing trends
relies on training. These tabletop discussions are an excellent way to keep recovery plans current.
Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (2023) says tabletop exercises are a great way
to get maximum participation from the town. The exercise should be held in a place where all
can give input. Looking at policy and procedures to improve things is always good. It is essential
to have all responders in on the meeting. The town is prepared if there is time to use the plan.
Each agency will know how to fulfill its role in a disaster better.
