Personal and Professional Reflection
As part of its governance for all its member organisations in the leadership and management space,
the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) issued code of conduct policies. To assure good practises
in expertise, efficiency, and alignment with current updates, it primarily designed six policies that are
implemented inside CMI and its organisations (Chartered Management Institute, 2021).
Only one behaviour code guideline that mentions acting in a dependable, transparent, and
informative way when carrying out the corporate roles and obligations in a future job has piqued my
interest the most out of the six strategies for reaching standards of excellence and management. I
discovered a few significant lessons from this standard of conduct that will be extremely valuable and
significant in my current and future leadership learning. I learned that an employee must uphold
honesty, transparency, and trust to achieve ethical personal and professional development. This
strategy assisted in mastering a few crucial skills required to manage administrative responsibilities
and assume senior roles in leadership learning.
I realised that to build trust with my co-workers, superiors, and subordinates, I needed to maintain
my moral fortitude across the whole of my work and personal development. To do this, I had to
requires direct for my decisions and actions and remain open to sharing my opinions and thoughts
about a given issue or complicated situation and improve communication's honesty and integrity.
Along with those other, a consultant should also adhere to the following standards: following the law
and rationally when resolving disputes within teammates and between co-workers; adhering to the
regulations and laws of the relevant country when offering solutions to clients; and not advocating
the use of bribes or any other accommodation facilities or gifts that lead to unsuitable commitments
(Chartered Management Institute, 2020).
The most significant lesson from this program is that adhering to all its recommendations will help a
professional land opportunity to manage or lead. The policy's methods will be effectively applied to
future career growth and focus on the current career. They contribute to demonstrating a clear
difference in how current jobs and functions are handled from those of other co-workers by creating
the norms and ethics for encouraging suitable behaviour. They furthered consolidated to increase
performance by taking on several difficult duties and responsibilities. Future knowledge and
awareness received through the CMI code of behaviour of integrity and candour is helpful in
developing a set of values in making ethical decisions, which will help one become a successful
administrator (Moore, 2011).
I'll try to spread the concepts covered in this course and evaluate my progress annually to determine
what needs to be improved to ensure success in the workplace. To become a productive manager or
supervisor by assisting others in sharing information the same matters I followed, I will endeavour to
transmit the same regulations, which include dignity, authenticity, and flexibility to my colleagues
and fellow employees and their contribution to enhancing effectiveness and working in accordance
with the best interest of the company. I'll also mention any instances in which the CMI-
recommended code of behaviour has been broken.
