1310 Scavenger Hunt Description In your teams , students will gain a better understanding of Vancouver’s touristic landscape by locating landmarks and attractions within the city. Teams are required to find at least two landmarks in each area of Vancouver and take a group photo showcasing the landmark. The areas and landmarks are listed below: Gastown: Vancouver Steam Clock Gassy Jack Statue Angel of Victory Downtown: Digital Orca The Drop Terry Fox Statue Alley Opp Alley West End: A-maze-ing Laughter Brockton Point Lighthouse English Bay Kitsilano: Gate of the Northwest Passage Wind Swimmer The Crab Spanish Banks Posting Each team will submit and post their eight photos to both Instagram and Moodle. When posting to Instagram, post including the following hashtags: #vcchospitality When submitting to Moodle, one member from each team will submit a PowerPoint that includes the photos and an introduction slide. Presentation Groups will prepare a six-minute presentation of their PowerPoint.
Marking Instrument The PowerPoint will be evaluated by the instructor worth 10 %. The Presentation will be self-evaluated worth 5 %. Peer Evaluations will be completed by each student worth 5 %. Due Date See Moodle for specific due dates.
