Factors Local Politics May Play When Developing this List:

local governments may prioritize certain projects above others, like new hospitals or schools
(
Ahmed, 2018)
. Recognizing this and working with local authorities is key to guaranteeing
that these vital goals are adequately fulfilled.
What the Fusion Center Should Do Once the List is Compiled:

crucial targets, the fusion center should create a comprehensive plan to protect them from
potential terrorist threats (
Laqueur, 2020)

monitoring and responding to potential threats. The fusion center must collaborate with
regional stakeholders including law enforcement and emergency services to guarantee the
safety of all vital targets. Public education on potential risks should be a part of the strategy
as well.
