Observe
I will research a quilt, which was my grandmother's. Originating in the 1960s, a decade
filled with cultural upheaval, it has endured as a symbol of women's liberation and creative
importance (Swanson, 2021). The textile assemblage has been crafted using multiple pieces of
fabric remnants and adorned with intricate needlework, resulting in a captivating composition
that boasts an exclusive efflorescent design drenched in vivid hues. The art of quilting has been
an enduring custom that women in America have kept for generations. It is a reflection of their
individuality, advocacy, and bond with one another. The quilt created by my grandmother is a
symbol of her unwavering strength and inventive mind, representing the idea that we can
discover magnificence as well as solidarity in moments characterized by drastic transformation
or disquiet.
Process
The quilt has a singularly significant place in my heart as it stands to embody the acute
remembrance of fond sentiment that had been bestowed upon me during my developmental years
via loving measure from the designer. The patchwork embodies the attachment I shared with my
grandmother and her fondness for me. Its intricate composition speaks to the depth of our
relationship, as does its comforting warmth that wraps around like a loving embrace. Because of
this quilt, I now see the value of handcrafted goods and value the time and expertise required to
create them. The value of spending time with loved ones and counting one's blessings is
something I have recognized as well. This quilt has reminded me of the value of family and the
unconditional affection it brings. Looking back over this quilt also helps me reflect on the
progress I have made in my life. The utilization of this tool has facilitated the sustenance of my

connections with kin and served as a reminder for me to uphold the significant ideals that define
a family unit.
Analyze
My quilt is a patchwork of my life. It is made from scraps of fabric from various projects
I have completed and is a representation of my hard work and perseverance. This serves as a
prompt that despite the nature of life's tosses, I can still fabricate stunning and purposeful
commodities from their constituents. The intricate patchwork blanket embodies an emblematic
representation of my existence while simultaneously serving as a communicative tool to
disseminate my worldview. This evokes a sense of my ingenuity and versatility, as well as my
eagerness to transform and innovate using the scraps that comprise the various facets of my
existence. The quilt, a physical object that represents both my journey and my life, has a deeper
significance than what is first apparent. Inside this box is an unrivaled treasure that is bursting at
the seams with memories and stories that will live on long after my earthly life has ended.
Connect
The traditional craft of quilting has evolved significantly due to technological advances in
recent years. Quilting has become much easier and more efficient with the introduction of
computers and digital cutting machines
(Leake et al., 2021). The recent technological
enhancements have facilitated a smoother and more streamlined process of quilt-making,
empowering quilters to produce intricate patterns proficiently and precisely. The internet has also
enabled quilters to connect, share patterns and collaborate on new designs, making quilting much
more accessible. The craft of assembling layers of fabric and stitching them together has
transitioned entirely due to advancements in machinery and software systems. Thanks to
modernization, new techniques like digital quilt designing are now employed instead of
