Instructions:
•
This assignment is to be completed individually.
•
Each student must submit their individual report on Turnitin.

a
relevant case-study from
any one
of the following areas:
•
Publicly Funded Healthcare Systems

Large-scale Construction Projects
•
Megaprojects in Railway Industry
•
Education Sector
•
Large-scale Sporting Events
Drawing on your selected case-study, discuss which relevant Management of Risk principles, approaches
(including documents), and processes (including tools) can be used, improved, or customized to improve the risk
management practices, taking into consideration the level of complexity in the project you selected.
•
Define the relevant concepts which you will be using in the report.
•
Taking into consideration the level of complexity of the selected case-study, evaluate the usefulness of
adoption of such concepts based on empirical information. To answer this question:
▪
Briefly describe the level of complexity in the selected case-study.
▪
Define and discuss the usefulness of the Management of Risk principles to the project under

think that such tables/plots/diagrams could be useful to improve the quality of the discussion.
▪
Comment on the limitations and advantages of the use of Qualitative and Quantitative methods
to assess project uncertainties. Discuss which of these were (or could be) used in the selected
case-study.
▪
Provide recommendations to improve the organization's risk management practices using the
