Use the Forecast Sheet tool of Excel, to forecast periods
11, 12, 13, and 14 (of Operations #6 and #7). Based on the
obtained results, answer the following questions:
1.- Which Logistic Network offers a total fulfilled
demand (see Appendix A for an example of this last), the
AS-IS (without Op5GER) or the TO-BE (with Op5GER)?
Support your answer with the proper information and/or
analysis. Value: 30 points.
NONE OF THEM MEET THE DEMAND
2.- If you want to avoid generating total unfulfilled demand (see Appendix
B for an example of this last), you have the option of increasing the
Maximum delivery capacity among Manufacturing Country per Operation
#, as shown in the following table:
,
, which combination (ONE and ONLY ONE) you choose? Support
your answer with the proper information and/or analysis. Value:
40 points.

Reason why we rejected the rest because of network path asymmetry in selection of the operation locations as they are considering Germany and Brazil in the network.
For 2: Op#2 – Op#5: total cost achieved 1650
For 4: Op#4 – Op#5:total cost achieved 2050
For 5: Op#5 – Op#6:total cost achieved 1540
For 6: Op#5 – Op#7:total cost achieved 1410
3.- If you could modify ONE and ONLY ONE maximum delivery
capacity constraints, that is, shipments among Manufacturing
Country and Operation #, or Xinputs (1 or 2), or Xoutputs (1 or 2),
which one would be and why? Justify in detail your answer.
Value: 10 points.
XOUTPUT2 SHOULD BE MORE THAN 5017 SO THE
DEMAND CAN BE FUILFILLED.
Conclusion:- Even though we have increased the maximum delivery capacities for the four
scenarios, we are selecting scenario #4 because of better operational
efficiency through lesser cost and there is no difference in the output even if we increase the maximum delivery capacity, because increasing delivery capacities without a change in result is nothing but scraping the resources in vain which may incur extra indirect costs.
