The project that we chose is to d
evelop a website or platform that connects volunteers with local community service opportunities, making it easier for people to find and contribute to various causes. Assessing each impact and probability for each risk is ideal for each project. Creating a risk register is vital to help when having a project it helps identity project risks and having a master key plan. Software failure could have a high impact. It could leaded to system outages, downtime, data loss, and/or effecting user experience. Testing the software before it rolls out to the public is essential. It allows to work any delays, errors, or troubleshooting to be done. Depending on the structure of the software and testing procedures, the risk could take place during the development phase or after launching it to the community. User functionality errors could be moderate to high user errors might eventually lead to misuse of the platform if the website is not user friendly. Users will not utilize the website to its capabilities. We could provide a user education or a forum for questions and answers. For risks with an exposure greater than 60, a strategy could include implementing strenuous software testing and develop clear instructions for user experience. Communicating all of these risks is essential to the project for the team. Including it in the risk register detailed to how it can affect and its probability for being a greater risk would greatly benefit the outcome of the project. The project manager will make the final decisions that are to be made about the risk responses. The project manager will make a collaboration with the stakeholders or they should create a risk management committee. That will depend on how this project is structured.
