How would developing a WBS alleviate some of the problems that occurred during the first meeting and help Brandon organize and plan the project?
The first meeting had no real direction. If Brandon and Olivia had met prior to, they could have generated purposeful questions for the group to answer together. During the introductions, Brandon and Olivia should announce their role as program managers. This will ensure people have a focal point throughout the planning process. Once the meeting moved into some of the details, people need to be assigned specific tasks and roles to help spread responsibility. A timetable could have given the group an insight into the amount of immediate effort that would be needed to complete the project. The scenario isn’t clear on when they met, only the day the event would happen: the last Friday in March.
