1.
Identify a problem-solving technique or method you have used in a previous situation and explain how it helped you. How might problem-solving methods be different in diverse cultures or fields of work? How can effective problem-solving help you in your academic journey?
[Rephrase this paragraph into 5 sentences: I have used trial and error when fixing my internet router when it’s not working. I tried unplugging it, hitting the reset button, and even calling the internet company. By using trial and error I realized that my internet wasn’t working due to my device having an issue connecting. These methods may look different in the dental profession, because dentists usually don’t mess up at all, and if they did, using trial and error to solve an issue may make the situation even worse.

2.
Identify your learning style and explain how knowing/learning about your learning style helped support your success throughout this course.
[Rephrase this paragraph into 5 sentences: Understanding my tactile/kinesthetic learning style will support my success in and out of the classroom in many ways, using kinesthetic learning will make things easier to conceptualize in the real world for me, because learning hands on helps me remember the task at hand. I usually remember due to the feeling of whatever I am handling
and how I must handle it. Also, tactile learning will help me focus and pay better attention to the task at hand.]
3.
Identify which of the five successful habits of an SNHU student have been most helpful for you throughout this course. Explain how those habits have helped you.
[There are 5 successful habits of an SNHU student which includes: strive to submit all assignments, log in early, engage often, use the rubric, and reach out for help. Logging in to Brightspace early has been the most helpful habit for me throughout this course. It has been the most helpful because if I log in early, I can get a head start on my current Module of the week. I start by writing the due dates of all my discussion posts and assignments into my monthly calendar – and I make 16 hours available, 4 days of the week for my schoolwork per each class. It
makes prioritizing your time easier as well when you have a detailed calendar to refer to. It has helped me utilize my time in and out of class, and it makes having a life out of schoolwork very easy to have and manage.]
4.
Explain how you will stay on track in your courses and overcome interruptions that may impact your schedule.
[I will stay on track in my courses and overcome scheduling interruptions that may impact my schedule by using time management. Time management is a tool that I use every day, that I took
for granted before. Time management has taught me that I don’t have to pick between “having a
life” or going to school and focusing on nothing but school. I implement time into my schedule daily for hobbies and schoolwork, and it helps keep me motivated throughout the day and avoid interruptions or things that could impact my schedule. Being able to successfully go to college full time and still have hobbies and extra time to spend doing what I love is my result of utilizing time management.]
5.
Choose two SNHU resources (departments and resources that are part of SNHU) and two social supports (people, places, and things outside of SNHU) that will help the most with achieving your mission and goals, and that will help you prioritize your time. Also indicate why these resources and social supports are key for your success.
[Instructor feedback within the Grade Center]
[Instructor feedback within the Grade Center will assist me in achieving my missions and goals by being able to look at the professor’s criticism and personalized feedback on all my assignments. This allows me to do better in the future. Looking at the professor’s criticism allows you to get an educated, unbiased opinion on your work. I use my professors feedback to prioritize my time by using said feedback towards future work to save me in the future from facing the same complication and wasting time. Your professors feedback is there solely for you to have an option to be successful and improve your future work with their feedback in mind.
[24/7 Drop-in Tutoring]
[With 24/7 Drop-In Tutoring, I can prioritize my time and access help with any assignment at any time. I don’t have to wait until business hours to do my assignments. It allows my schedule to remain flexible. My missions and goals can be achieved easier with 24/7 Drop-in tutoring by allowing me to fulfill my missions and goals in a timely manner. I also have confidence that I got accurate teachings and guidance from my tutor.
Tutoring will be key in my success because I will have the tools (my tutor) to utilize during times I need help in certain courses.]
[My mother]
[My mother is my number one social support when it comes to my schooling. She helps me stay on path to my missions and goals. My missions and goals are met primarily by the motivation I get from my mother and the helpful criticism she gives me. She also went to SNHU, so she had a lot of helpful tips when it came to using Brightspace. My mother is key to my success because I have always told her I will go to college and make something out of myself, so I will do exactly that.]
[Having a place to relax after schoolwork]
[Having a place to relax after schoolwork is critical in me, personally, being successful in reaching my missions and goals. My basement is my room, and it is the perfect place to go after doing schoolwork. To create acceptable work, I need a place to rejuvenate and rest my brain. I like to utilize rest into my scheduled day so that I am always capable of producing acceptable work. Having a place to relax allows me to prioritize my time in one place, because I do my schoolwork in the room next to my bedroom, minimizing the
time I would have to use traveling to study, for example, at the library.] 6.

My academic mission is to successfully complete a bachelor’s degree in computer sciences with concentration on Software Engineering by August 2027. I hope to use the technology skills and engineering skills developed in my degree to work in designing and troubleshooting software issues, and hopefully owning my own business. Through building a business, I can provide humane software globally, and work remotely while maintaining a profitable living so that I can spend more time doing things I enjoy and have more time with the people I love.
