Value analysis is used when a company wants to reduce costs by analyzing the value of a
product that they are selling.
Value analysis breaks down a product or service into components, it
enables you to analyze each component on its own, evaluating its importance and efficiency
(Small Business Chron, 2020). Value analysis can benefit a company in many ways and reduce
costs for a company when creating a product. It is done by identifying parts of a product or
service that are not worth it, therefore by eliminating them it reduces time and effort needed for
the product.
Service
blueprinting is a diagram that displays the entire process of service delivery, by
listing all the activities that happen at each stage, performed by the different roles involved
(Service Design Tools, n.d.). Service blueprinting is a method that is shown in a diagram with
interactions between two lanes. There are many benefits to service blueprinting like improving a
service and designing a new service. With designing a new service, using service blueprint
allows a company to create a prototype and test it out before selling it to consumers.
The queue discipline
indicates the manner in which the units are taken for service
(Science Direct, 2023). This method follows first come, first serve or first in, first out where the
service is arranged by which customers were first. This method can be a benefit for a business
because it allows for more efficiency with the supply chain and the transport system. The queue
discipline method is also fast, flexible, and can handle data and multiple tasks. This can eliminate
time being wasted and can help a company manage their customers.
