Acquisition accel data for the week demonstrates an upward trend and is present with high variability. The variability is hypothesized to be due to not being consistent this week with the daily timings. Below is a proposed revision to address this issue. The last accel data point of the week was at 29, therefore AIM was met and maintained throughout the timings. A total of 2 cards were skipped within the timings. Acquisition decel data is present with a downward trend and low variability with one outlier. The last decel data point was 0. Study Approach and Adjustments Antecedent: Based on the results for week one, it is safe to say that my current study plan is effective. After completing baseline data, I made physical cards to study and chose a specific color to highlight the information. Additionally, I set out specific times to study and spread out
my study sessions so that I do not feel overwhelmed. I study at least 2-3 times a day, and always at least once prior to doing the daily timings. Then I set a weekly goal of 14 accel within Deck 1. While I did not have a reinforcer, I am intrinsically motivated and enjoy seeing my progress as it pushes me to do better. In the future, if I notice that this method of studying is no longer effective, I will implement a reinforcer to motivate me. Behavior: On day 1, I run one 30-second timing for my baseline data point. Then on days 2 through 5, I consecutively ran five 30-second timings. As soon as I am finished with the timings, I enter the best data point into CR’s celeration chart. Consequence: I tend to do my timings at night because that is usually when the house is quiet, thus eliminating any conditions that may influence my results. Because I enter the latest data point into the celeration chart, I am always able to reflect on the data to determine whether the AIM is foreseen to be met and/or if there is variability in the data. This week’s acquisition accel data has high variability, despite the AIM being met and maintained. To revise the high variability issue, I will implement a reinforcer to ensure I do daily timings. The proposed adjustment is down below. For decel cards, I will spend an additional 10 minutes studying. Adjustments: As a reinforcement procedure, I will do my 5 timings starting Monday through Friday and data input by 10 p.m. daily and reward myself with an extra 30 minutes of screen time. I also bought a planner to maintain an effective schedule and accountability.
