You must email the Media Director your training plan in a few days.
1.
How do you plan to get the message across?
a.
Spoken, written, online, face-to-face, mixed?
A mix of communication methods can be used to ensure that the message is conveyed effectively. This could include a written report, an online presentation, or a video conference, as well as face-to-face meetings, depending on the situation.
i.
Should you travel to each location?
Traveling to each location may not be optional because of financial situations. I should at least visit 2 of the cities.
ii.
Could you group some new hires in central locations and travel to that office?
If there are multiple new hires located in central locations, it might be more practical to group them together and travel to that office for training. However, if the new hires are spread out in different regions, it might be necessary to travel to each location to ensure consistent training.
b.
The group in St. Louis is well known to be very chatty and, in previous online meetings, the group was almost holding their own meeting while the trainer sitting in Atlanta was trying to present his training.
i.
After re-reading the material and researching online: In case it seems you might lose your grip, how do you propose to control the group in St. Louis?
At the beginning of the training, set ground rules that clearly outline the expected behavior during the training session. Be specific about expectations regarding participation, listening, and respect for the presenter. Also encourage
participation and engagement from the group in St. Louis by asking them to contribute their ideas, opinions, and questions during the training. This will help to keep them focused and involved in the discussion.
2.
The company currently does not have any KPIs to measure the effectiveness of training.
a.
Propose an evaluation package for this training.
Pre- and Post-Training Assessments: Conducting pre- and post-training assessments can help to measure the effectiveness of the training by identifying areas of improvement and evaluating the retention of knowledge and skills.
Participant Feedback: Collecting feedback from the participants after the training
can help to identify what worked well and what needs improvement
.
Manager Feedback: Gathering feedback from the managers of the participants can help to assess the impact of the training on the job performance of the participants.
On-the-job Performance: Observing the participants' on-the-job performance can help to evaluate the effectiveness of the training by measuring the impact on
productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Follow-up Training: Providing follow-up training can help to reinforce the training
and evaluate the effectiveness of the initial training by measuring the improvement in performance.
b.
Define five main KPIs and explain them
Time to Market: The time it takes to bring a product to market from the concept stage to launch. This KPI measures the efficiency of the engineering process and the ability to meet customer demands.
Quality: The level of quality of the engineering output, measured in terms of the number of defects, rework, and customer complaints. This KPI measures the effectiveness of the engineering process in delivering high-quality products.
Cost: The total cost of the engineering process, including labor, materials, and other expenses. This KPI measures the efficiency of the engineering process in delivering products within the budget.
Innovation: The number of new products or technologies developed by the engineering team. This KPI measures the creativity and effectiveness of the engineering process in developing new solutions to meet customer needs.
Customer Satisfaction: The level of satisfaction of the customers with the engineering output, measured in terms of feedback, ratings, and reviews. This KPI measures the effectiveness of the engineering process in meeting customer needs and expectations.
3.
Should you address these
Key
concerns: Budget? Number of new hires to train? Availability of a space suitable to be used for training?
Yes, you should address key concerns such as these. In order to address these concerns, it may be necessary to make trade-offs and compromises based on the available resources and constraints. For example, if there is a limited budget, it may be necessary to prioritize the training needs and focus on the most critical areas. Similarly, if
there is a limited training space available, it may be necessary to consider alternative training locations or explore options for virtual or online training. The key is to be flexible
and adaptable in planning the training program to ensure that it meets the needs of the participants and the organization within the available resources.
