Course Welcome Message Method 1. ChatGPT Script Supply chain management (SCM) refers to coordinating and overseeing all activities involved in producing and delivering goods or services, from the initial stage of raw material extraction or production to the final delivery to the end consumer. Supply chain management ensures efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction throughout the process. Key components of supply chain management include: 1. Planning involves forecasting demand, setting production schedules, and determining inventory levels. 2. Sourcing: Identifying and establishing relationships with suppliers to procure raw materials, components, and other necessary inputs. 3. Manufacturing or Production: Transforming raw materials into finished goods through manufacturing. 4. Logistics: Managing the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of finished goods to retailers or end consumers. 5. Delivery: Ensuring that products reach the end consumer promptly and cost-effectively. 6. Return or Reverse Logistics: Managing the return of products, handling repairs, recycling, or disposal. Effective supply chain management involves collaboration and communication between various stakeholders, including suppliers, manufacturers, logistics providers, and retailers. Modern
technologies, such as data analytics, blockchain, and artificial intelligence, are increasingly used to enhance visibility, traceability, and overall efficiency in supply chain processes. Method 2: Welcome Class. My name is Dr. Mirna Ramos, and I am your teacher for the supply chain class at Sparkwimville University. As your professor, my goal is to engage with each of you, present you with real-life experience, and work on group projects that can help you gain hands-on experience in supply chain management. Please become familiar with the class work requirements and assignment schedules to ensure you meet the deadlines. This class will give you a broader knowledge of Supply claim management. Supply Chain Management (SCM) has evolved, and its originating ideas can be traced back to various key concepts and practices. Some original supply chain concepts are logistics management, inter-organizational cooperation, just-in-time, total quality management, and material requirement planning. The graduate-level Supply Chain Management class aims to provide you with an advanced and strategic understanding of the complexities within supply chain operations. A few of the topics that you will learn in-depth are advanced supply chain strategy, supply chain analytics, and supply chain finance, to name a few. Some of the current trends in the supply chain are resilience and risk management, sustainable supply chain practices, digital transformation, and Industry 4.0. Supply chain risk management has evolved into one of the most active fields within supply chain management research. Much
of supply chain risk management work has focused on handling risks on the firms’ supply side (the upstream supply chain), such as supplier quality problems (Hofman et al., 2013). You will find all related course information on the class page posted on the school website; please note that the course discussion is due every Thursday by 9:00 pm PST, and assignments are due on Sunday by 9:00 pm PST. It is required that you use APA 7 th edition when submitting written assignments and that you follow the university code of conduct. You can reach me via email at mramos@ Sparkwimvilleuniversity.edu or by call or text at (818)578-5198. I will respond to your emails within 24 hours and to urgent texts within 2 hours. You can find my contact information on my instructor page. The course policies and expectations can be found in the getting started portion of the class page. I will support you through this learning experience. I have been where you are, and as a student, you need to have a routine that can help you manage your time but still leave time to enjoy yourself and have fun. Finding a class partner you can work with and share ideas with will help you develop professional relationships and learn from each other. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I am here to help you, and we will learn from each other. I look forward to meeting all of you in class. Method one and method two differ because method one talks more about supply chain topics. While using the ChatGPT, I learned that you must give AI more specific questions when trying to create a topic or write something specific. As I created the script, I tried to remember my personal experiences as a student and professional. One of the things I loved the most as a student was learning from professors with real-life experiences from which I could learn. And I discussed that in my script.

I chose to use most of method two because it provides information about the supply chain, personal experience, and how I would support my students if I were their professor.
