SNHU 107 Module Four Journal Template Complete all parts of this template by replacing the bracketed text with your responses. Submit for grading and feedback. Refer to the Module Four Journal Example in the Guidelines and Rubric. 1.
Write your academic personal mission statement below using the following format:
(I am not exactly sure what career path I would like to take using my Psychology degree. I also want to move up as a fulltime student.)
I will graduate in 2028 with a degree in Psychology to pursue a career that aligns best with my interests and passions. I will use my degree to help others and improve my quality of life. As a student with ADHD, I will set SMART goals to complete academic objectives. I will utilize SNHU support and all other resources available to me including my own to enhance my skills and knowledge to excel in
my coursework. I will collaborate with my advisors and peers to promote my academic success. I will learn from my mistakes and improve based on my academic instructor’s feedback. I will strive to overcome any obstacles or difficulties that get in the way of achieving my degree. Using my degree, I will seek opportunities to help others and apply my learning to real-world situations and problems. I will be a lifelong learner who is committed to personal and professional growth.
2.
Write three academic goals relating to your academic personal mission statement that are achievable in the next six months (short-term). Include the following in your responses:
Goal #1:
I will seek help from SNHU academic support and resources to develop my writing skills.
By utilizing SNHU o
nline academic support and resources to develop my writing
skills, I will seek help from a writing coach to improve my skills in writing.
Goal #2:
I will improve my study skills.
Using “SMART” “
Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound” goals I can break down my college assignments into smaller tasks to accomplish based on a schedule. This strategy will better achieve my academic objectives and help to reach the set deadlines without always using my accommodation. By reaching this goal I will have better time management skills helping me transition
to a full-time SNHU student.
Goal #3
: Move from being a Part time student to a full-time student. By contacting my advisor, we can formulate an academic strategy where I can become a full-time student. This will help me graduate sooner and move closer to
my career goals.
