Use symbols like '+' (positive correlation), '−' (negative correlation), and '0' (no correlation)
to indicate the relationships.
Assign Importance Ratings (Roof of the House):
Assign relative importance ratings to the customer requirements.
Typically, a scale from 1 to 5 or 1 to 10 is used, where higher numbers indicate higher
importance.
Evaluate Competitive Assessment (Left Side of the House):
Assess how well competitors are meeting each customer requirement.
This information can help set benchmark targets for your own technical requirements.
Evaluate Engineering Performance (Top of the House):
Assess the current performance of your product or service against each technical
requirement.
This information helps identify areas that need improvement.
Determine the Relationship Matrix (Body of the House):
Create a matrix to show the relationships between technical requirements.
Identify dependencies and interactions between different technical aspects.
Calculate the Importance Ratings (Body of the House):
Assign relative importance ratings to the technical requirements.
Use the same scale as for customer requirements.
Calculate the Correlation Matrix (Body of the House):
Evaluate the relationships between technical requirements.
Use symbols like '+' (positive correlation), '−' (negative correlation), and '0' (no correlation).
Generate the Deployment Plan (Foundation of the House):
Develop a plan to implement the technical requirements based on the prioritization and
relationships identified in the House of Quality.

Refine the matrix based on feedback and make adjustments as needed.
Building the House of Quality is an iterative process that involves collaboration among different
