Why was the primary source created? o It was created to gain more of an understanding surrounding the Iranian revolution and how Iranians felt, protested, the Shah and even Ayatollah Khomeini Whose perspective(s) is presented in the source? o The perspectives presented are the Iranian people. We are getting a first-hand account of their feelings during the revolution. Both Sources Analyze the primary sources relevant to your historical event for the presence of bias. The primary sources I have, have some sort of bias. They were at the front of the Iranian revolution, so their feelings are more warranted. They have accurate information of the feelings towards the political movement. For example, in the primary source I analyzed earlier, the perspective is from a woman during the Iranian revolution. The speaker says about her mother, when the Shah made the veil illegal, her mother refused to leave the house because it made her feel naked. Compare how your historical event is represented in your primary sources. 44 days is presented through photographs and depicts all people surrounding the Iranian revolution. The interview for my first primary source is about women, more specifically, one woman and her thoughts about why women supported what they did. 2
