2 Thesis Statement: Why did the Imperial nation choose to join forces and contribute with Nazi Germany during World War II? During World War II, developed alliances that joined forces in contribution to the war: The Axis Powers and The Allied Powers. In existence of the Axis, The Empire of Japan, alliance between the Nazi Germany, and the Kingdom of Italy, united to join forces as appointed allies. Amongst them, leaders Adolf Hitler, emperor Hirohito, and Benito Mussolini soon depleted in the attempt of winning the war due to lack of ideological cohesion and socio-economic mistakes. From a cultural exchange, the Japanese were drawn to pop culture in sight for an educational tool. After the war, the government and the private sector worked to educate the public about atomic energy and how it is valuable. In Addition, the author has written more than eighty books specializing in the 20 th century that I can use for further investigation and analysis of the war. Ideally, this is a very broad book covering tons of information during both wars from multiple sides however, this source is helpful to me for a general knowledge source. The author also provides primary Japanese archival sources and records of the Showa Emperor. Furthermore, the emperor was leader of the national cult that sanctioned most of the former’s activities. This helps understand events during war and what the emperor’s intentions unraveled those in the Imperial Army and Navy. This source helps me to understand leaders and the emperor during that time, to understand what cultural and religious conflicts occurred in relation to their military.
