Personal Mission Each person has their own idea or thoughts on things. You may think that it is silly
to live in the country so far from the city while I may think it is silly to live in crowded city. The
same goes for perspective educators; each individual has their own opinion of what it is going to be
like to become a teacher and what their classroom is going to be like before they have completed
their first educational class. As time passes and classes are taken, those preconceived thoughts can
have a way of changing your future expectations. Views

Beyond fulfilling the requirements of the IEP's these teachers have to be able to do just that, teach.
They have to create lessons for their classes and then help create modified material for their students
within team taught classes. Having the opportunity to work with special educators while I am in
school has opened my eyes to the demands that are on these teachers.
Now, being enrolled in my first special education class, I am realizing that there is a lot more to
being a special educator and we are only in the third week of the course. Behind regular education
there are certain standards that all educators have to follow and understand. Special educators have
to understand and follow the same general standards and standards for special educators. There are
several different standards, acts and policies that these special educators need to know and
understand in order to be successful. These standards and acts are the foundation to the teaching
material and the expectations within the special education world. The No Child Left Behind Act is
very important in education and yes you do hear about it within the school but not in depth. The
NCLB Act holds the actual school districts accountable for their successes and failures. In order for
an area to receive funding they have to be able to prove that their students are competent and
meeting the set standards. If the schools fail to meet those standards then they are punished not

Personal Mission Statement
My personal mission is to graduate from high school with at least a 4.0 GPA and have a career in
biology or the medical field. I want to talk more often and build relationships with new people I
meet. I want to be able to stay positive even when I experience failure and learn from it, to be able
to listen to criticism without fear, but with an open mind. I want myself to understand that there will
be times where I would do something that I will regret or something unfortunate will happen to me,
and that I must accept it. I must close the door behind me if I want to open the door that will let me
continue forward. I need to learn that limits aren't something meant to stop me from fulfilling my
ambitions, but for me to surpass. Although there is a voice in my head telling me "No, there is no
way I can accomplish anything, I'm too ignorant, I am too lazy, return to safety, etc." I know none of
these are true. I know that my strengths such as dedication, resilience, and hardworking personality
will help me accomplish my aspirations. Furthermore, I am an individual who will never give up,
even if I am told unless I deem it impossible. I want to remind myself that I can complete anything
without any limits, if I put in the effort.
History[edit]
Rubingh's idea to create a new sport fusing the two disciplines, chess and boxing, originates from
the 1992 comic Froid Équateur–written by French comic book artist Enki Bilal (born Enes
Bilalović)–that portrays a chessboxing world championship. In the comic book version, however,
the opponents fight an entire boxing match before they face each other in a game of chess. Finding
this to be impractical, Rubingh developed the idea further until it turned into the competitive sport
that chessboxing is today with alternating rounds of chess and boxing and a detailed set of rules and
regulations.[4] An earlier version of combining chess and boxing was said to have taken place in a
boxing club outside London in the late 1970s. The Robinson brothers were in the habit of playing a
round of chess against one another after a training session at their boxing club. However, no direct
correlation can be made between the Robinson brothers' chess playing and chessboxing.[5] The
same goes

Personal Vision Statement
Personal Vision Statement of Educational Leadership

"You haven't taught until they have learned." – John Wooden
Sitting in a classroom during the first course for my Administrative Credential, I still clearly recall
the moment when I first heard that quote. I had been a classroom teacher for over ten years and yet I
had not necessarily thought of or articulated teaching and learning through this lens. This quote and
the ensuing discussion I engaged in with my colleagues that evening, resonated with me so strongly
that it forever changed and guided my vision of education
.
When I first began teaching over twenty years ago, I do not believe I had a clear idea of what my
vision of education was. I was hungry for knowledge myself and took every opportunity I could to
attend professional development and implement new curriculum and instructional strategies. During
the early part of my career as a teacher, I developed a

During this middle portion of my career, I continued focusing on data–based decision making and a
strong instructional program, but I also began to value the importance of collaboration, building
relationships, and effective communication. I still led by example, but my leadership style began to
become more collaborative. As my quest for knowledge continued, and my desire to increase my
sphere of influence grew, I decided to pursue a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and
Leadership. As I think back to that first evening, I realize that the John Wooden quote resonated so
strongly with me because those words clearly articulated the vision that I carried within myself as I
continuously sought to improve my practice in order to meet the needs of all of my
