2 Information System Research Briefing Steps are important when making decision on products such as A Health Information System that have the potential of creating positive outcomes. These steps that leads to implementing are consideration and procedures that needs to be put in place to ensure that the system being considered fits the needs of the organization. These steps are important to achieve the company’s goals and ensure that the system will match the organization needs We will be briefly speaking on the steps for selecting an information system, questions to not only ask yourself but all that will be having access to the system, consideration when selecting an information system and how and where to research information system options. Implementing and solving problems that could potentially affect the system performance and decide if the system will bring positive outcomes to the business Steps for Selecting and Acquiring an Information System When selecting an information system, the steps are repeated several times to ensure that the system is aligned with the company’s plan. Is it a promising investment? It should align up with the goals expectation. To start this process, you will need understand exactly what the plan is, and which Health Information System fits the expectation of the organization. At this point you should know if the system is a good business decision for the company the type of system needed and understand how the system runs so that it can be tested by all stakeholders. This allows you to address any issues the system may have and have them corrected before purchasing.

If you are looking for a new information system, likely there are problems with the current one, or it is simply outdated. What makes this system better, and does it improve upon your current processes? It is important you go into the situation loaded with a plethora of questions. Will there be a big effect. And what outcomes will it produce? We can set objectives all day long, but they won't do us any good if we don't know what kind of result, we want to attain and what steps must be taken to get there. If you were intending to buy a house, would you draw up a plan to determine how much money you would need to save and over how long? Every plan requires a vision and an understanding of the steps required to get there. When making decisions for your business, you should consider the following: What is the cost and do it fit with the budget for the investment. What is the main reason the company will be purchasing the system. What type of system will improve the main priority that the company is focusing on improving.
5 What software will be required to effectively run and accomplish the goals set. What potential setback or the risk. There are many ways to research the Health Information system. One of the ones that I will be using during my career is finding partners that are already using the system getting feedback. I feel this will be the most sufficient way to research. This allows those that is using the system give honest feedback from their experience on performance, support, and capability.
