The terms "the impact of technology on education," "Impact of technology," "effects of digital learning," and "educational technology impacts" helped me focus my search on
how technology affects education. I started by using the more general term "technology in education," but I discovered that it produced results on a lot of different topics, so I used the advanced search page to narrow down my keywords. By substituting "technology in education" with "the impact of technology on education," my intention was to focus on resources that particularly discuss how technology is affecting the educational field. I also used related keywords like "impact of technology," "effects of digital learning," and "educational technology impacts" to narrow down my search and locate more focused and pertinent pages. Thanks to this method, I was able to narrow down my research to the particular areas of interest regarding technology's impact on education.

I narrowed my search by selecting the limiters "articles," "magazine articles," "educational technology," and "English" in order to locate pertinent texts about how technology affects education. To make sure I would have access to academic and peer-reviewed content, I began with the more general category of "articles." Next, I deliberately chose "magazine articles" in order to acquire knowledge from a more subjective standpoint because I thought this type of writing would offer an alternative point of view than scholarly journals or newspapers. The "educational technology" and
"English" limiters helped me further refine my search and concentrate on materials that particularly address the effects of technology on education from an English language perspective, as the first results were still not totally pertinent. By providing a more focused selection of resources, these limiters assisted me in locating texts that were more closely related to my areas of interest in research.

I found using the library database to be a bit of a challenge. When my search for pertinent materials produced results that were overly general and partially unrelated to
my topic, I first ran into trouble. To overcome this obstacle, though, I used the "subjects" limiter, which helped me focus my search and see that a large number of the first search results had nothing to do with my topic. I was able to find more relevant and focused resources by further refining my search after coming to this realization.
The most important lesson I learned from this experience was how important it is to use limiters and carefully examine search results in the library database. I've discovered that by getting proficient with these tools, I can find the information I need for my research project at the library. The accuracy and comprehensiveness of the results justify the process's potential lengthier duration than a quick Google search. I'm looking forward to using the library's database for my next research project because I know that the specificity and control it provides will eventually produce more insightful and pertinent results.
