Problem Statement by Shani Campbell on case Mabel Johnson
The 83 y/o white female presented with a chief complaint of knee pain. Knee pain occurs bilaterally, has been
present for 5 years, and has progressively gotten worse. The patient states that the pain is continuous, achy, and
stiff in nature; stiffness in the AM lasting 15 to 20 minutes. knee pain is rated a 4 or 5 out of 10, with it occasionally
being 7 or 8 out of 10. Cool weather and exercise make the pain worse, she has tried Tylenol with slight relief. She
also stated that her hands are "getting fat" and are stiff as well.
