2 Qualitative/Mix Methods Critique Purpose This research synthesizes the research on telehealth for hospice care at home by systematically reviewing relevant studies. This research examines the potential benefits and drawbacks of using telehealth interventions to provide palliative care to patients in their homes. Research Design Steindal et al. (2023) used a mixed studies review to conduct the literature. This review blends qualitative and quantitative approaches to enhance the readers' understanding of the subject. The researchers can collect more evidence and more perspectives on the utility of telemedicine in palliative care if they include studies of different types. Sample The searches of the databases yielded a total of 21,953 studies. After eliminating duplicates, 42.75 percent, we reviewed the titles and abstracts of 57.25 percent of the remaining studies ( Steindal et al., 2023) . Only 1.19 percent of full-text reports met our eligibility criteria, excluding 80.7 percent of reports and including 29 reports from 28 studies ( Steindal et al., 2023) . In addition, both retrospective and prospective citation searches uncovered 12 additional studies. Data Collection Methods A literature search served as the foundation for the research design and methodology. The researchers undertook an exhaustive literature review to find studies on telehealth's use in at- home palliative care. The recognized studies' qualitative and quantitative data were pooled for analysis. Summary of Findings
3 Telehealth enables patients to access medical care without leaving their homes. Visuals in healthcare communication have been shown to increase patient satisfaction. Improved communication with healthcare practitioners is achieved through patient self-reporting of symptoms ( Steindal et al., 2023) . Problems can be encountered because of technology limitations and worries about invasion of privacy. The findings can inform the development of telehealth services to enhance patient-centeredness (Steindal et al., 2023). Further research should be conducted to examine the effectiveness of telehealth in addressing patients' existential and spiritual issues, emotions, and overall well-being. The study's strengths The study's integration of qualitative and quantitative data is particularly noteworthy. This method makes telemedicine's benefits and drawbacks in palliative care easier to understand. Limitations of the Study One significant limitation is the lack of information on the sample and individual studies in the review. It is difficult to extrapolate results to other groups and contexts when neither the characteristics of the included research nor the participants in those studies are known. Recommendations for Future Practice Several insightful and relevant recommendations for future practice are provided based on the results of the systematic mixed studies review: Enhanced Training: The field of healthcare information technology is rapidly developing, and healthcare providers must keep up with the latest innovations. Doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers should receive extensive instruction in telehealth systems, hardware, and software. In addition, training in communication skills should be prioritized, as telehealth calls for different ways to communicate than in-person encounters ( Steindal et al., 2023) . Confidence

4 and skill in providing remote palliative care can be cultivated through training sessions that feature role-playing scenarios, workshops, and simulations. Patient-Centered Approach: The primary focus of palliative care is on the patient and their wishes, preferences, and desired outcomes. Keeping a focus on the individual patient is essential while introducing telehealth therapies. Providers should consult with patients and their loved ones during decision-making to learn more about their expectations and concerns regarding distant treatment ( Steindal et al., 2023) . It is important to personalize telehealth interventions for each patient, considering their level of technological knowledge, preferred communication methods, and comfort with engaging in virtual contact. Addressing Technological Barriers: Strong internet connectivity and dependable technology infrastructure are crucial to the success of telehealth. Investment in expanding internet access and network coverage is crucial in unserved or underdeveloped areas where palliative care is needed. To ensure that people in all parts of the world can benefit from telehealth consultations, governments, healthcare organizations, and telecommunications firms should collaborate to close the digital divide ( Steindal et al., 2023) . Furthermore, telehealth systems should be created so people with diverse technical expertise can use them. Privacy and Security Measures: Patients may worry about the privacy and security of their information when engaging in telehealth due to the nature of the data being sent. Strong privacy and security measures are essential to gaining patients' trust and confidence. That involves things like encrypted data transmission, restricted access, and following all applicable healthcare data protection rules ( Steindal et al., 2023) . Patients' fears regarding the safety of telehealth programs can be allayed through open and honest discussions of the measures being taken to ensure their privacy and safety.
5 Hybrid Model: Although telehealth has many advantages, it may only partially replace in-person care, especially in palliative care settings where human touch and physical presence play important roles in providing emotional support and comfort to patients. Therefore, it is possible to develop a hybrid method that uses in-person and telemedicine visits. As a result, doctors can do routine virtual checkups and evaluations, saving in-person visits for cases needing immediate attention. The hybrid approach effectively combines the benefits of telehealth and the unparalleled value of face-to-face interaction, thereby providing patients with a comprehensive and optimal healthcare experience. By implementing these suggestions, healthcare providers can better serve their patients, enhance their telehealth-based palliative care experiences, and guarantee that their remote care delivery is consistent with the palliative care tenets of compassion, comfort, and individualized support.
